The confiscation orders concerning Leopoldina Pečar is only one among more than two hundred decisions preserved in a yellowed stack of papers in the Regional Archives Maribor (SI_PAM/0723/002/001/00225). These seemingly dry forms, dated August 1945, list the property of well‑known and unknown Styrian families and companies. At least a tenth of the orders were issued for people of unknown residence—an indication of the fate that befell them. The official who prepared the orders must have had access to appropriate lists which have not survived or could not be found in the archives.
