Leopoldina Among Her Colleagues – the Maribor Market Women

In the photograph, Leopoldina (in a black dress, second from the right) stands among her colleagues, the market women of Maribor. It was likely taken as a farewell photograph when, in the autumn of 1929, upon her second marriage and move out of the city, she gave up her stall at the market on Maribor’s Main Square.
