The discovery of court file Zp 922/46‑2 in the Regional Archives of Maribor in March 2024 marked a turning point in the research of our family history and effectively triggered the “reopening” of the case of Leopoldina Pečar. Inside the crumpled envelope were fifteen different documents revealing important details about Leopoldina’s life and about post‑war events in Lower Styria.
