Hotel Zlatorog je bil do začetka prve svetovne vojne odprt in oskrbovan celo leto. Prvotno hotelsko stavbo je SPD uporabljalo kot gospodarsko poslopje, občasno pa so v njej uredili tudi skupna ležišča.
