Gručasto naselje z zaselkoma Gorenje in Bobovnik leži v zahodnem delu Posavskega hribovja, na razvodnem svetu med Črnim grabnom in Moravško dolino. V Gorenjah stoji baročna cerkev sv. Lovrenca. Tu se je rodil pesnik Jovan Vesel Koseski.
