Sladka repica

Gospod Domen Rupnik je na natečaj poslal recept za sladko repico, ki gre takole:

1 kg sveže repe
10 žlic belega sladkorja
sol

Repo olupimo in narežemo na kocke. V loncu zavremo vodo, dodamo sol in v njej kuhamo repo pet minut, nato jo odcedimo. V drugem loncu karameliziramo sladkor. Deset žlic belega sladkorja stresemo v lonec, ki ga počasi segrevamo, dokler sladkor ne porjavi. V karameliziran sladkor previdno počasi stresemo blanširano repo. Dušimo, dokler sladkor ne odstopi od posode in repa porjavi.

Postrežemo kot prilogo k praženemu krompirju in kuhani govedini.
