Prvi fotograf na Ptuju, po vizitnih portretih je znan vsaj že od leta 1871 dalje. Njegove pokrajinske in mestne motive je objavil dr. Lampe v Domu in svetu. V evidenci štajerskih fotografov je bil še leta 1903. Sledila sta mu Gvido in Hermina Winkler.
