RENE RUSJAN

Brez naslova / Untitled

Forma viva 1989

jeklo/ steel

30 x 300 x 150 cm

Pošta, Ravne (interier) / Post Office, Ravne (interior)

The spatially conceived installation by Rene Rusjan was the firt (and last) project of Forma viva in Ravne that was designed for the interior. In a very short period of time that was available to her, for the artist joined the symposium belatedly, upon a special invitation by the organisers, she created an ambient based on her work at the time: in their meticulous layout, the rational, simple forms of plastic objects are imposed upon the spectator like an intellectualist visual pattern, which is subject only to the gaze and the physical presence of forms in immediate contact with the physical body of the spectator. Later, due to functional demands in the post-office entrance hall, the work was removed and it is still waiting to be installed in a more suitable location.
