The Irish sculptor built his sculpture using two basic elements found in situ – a gigantic ring and a vertically positioned pillar made of large-diameter steel pipes – with which he achieved a dynamic interaction between the two basic coordinates of the human perception of space. He fastened both imposing pieces of treated steel together with a link chain, so that the whole evokes associations to a children’s carousel.
