Dom gasilcev, Ravne / Fire brigade headquarters, Ravne

The emphatically vertical structure, composed of irregular, smoothly cut steel plates, triggers numerous associations, including figurative ones. In its role as a veduta-like emphasis by the main road in the area, its expression is totally subordinate to the picturesque contours that keep changing in front of the gaze circling slowly around the sculpture. The light structure with its cut-out openings denies the tectonic solidness and all but floats in the air above its pedestal.
